Palo Santo essential oil (also called Holy Wood) is derived from a tree native to South America. It comes from the same botanical family, Burseraceae, as Myrrh and Frankincense.
Palo Santo essential oil has a woody, sweet, citrus and slightly minty aroma. It is grounding and calming, helping to reduce anxiety and nervousness. Also helps alleviate headaches and migraines as well as joint pain, arthritis and general aches and pains.
Historically, the primary purpose of using Palo Santo was in incense to promote positive energies and diffuse bad ones. Spiritually, it wards off negative energies and is used in meditation and prayers.

Botanical Name: Bursera graveolens (Palo Santo) oil
Country of Origin: Peru
Extraction: Steam distillation, wood
Directions: Add a few drops to an aroma stick, a diffuser, into a base oil, or into unscented massage oil, shampoo, body wash, lotion or cream.
